Blazers Cable TV Schedule
This season BendBroadband will carry 24 Blazer games on
the Blazer channel (channel 39), five on ESPN (channel 21 and 621 HD), and six
on TNT (channel 17 and 617 HD). All of these channels are available in our Expanded Basic package. Once our new video packages are introduced on December 5th, these channels will be available in the Essentials and Preferred package. If you are currently receiving just the Expanded Basic package, you will automatically be placed in the Essentials package, if you currently also subscribe to a Bronze tier (Sports, Variety, or Moves) you will automatically receive the Preferred package.
Fox Sports NW is no longer carrying the Blazers and BendBroadband will not be offering the new Comcast Sports Net NW channel this year. If we were to add this channel it would cost all subscribers, regardless of whether they wanted the channel or not, $1.50. BendBroadband felt this expense, for just one channel, was too much for our customers. Considering that our total rate increase for the Essentials package -- with numerous channel additions, is still less than the cost of this one channel – we felt this wasn’t the right choice for our customers. BendBroadband plans to enter negotiations with Comcast again next year in the hopes of securing the channel in the future.
